Tolima, Colombia to host International Coffee Fair and Magdalena River Festival in August 2026

The IV Feria Internacional del Café "Tolima Corazón Cafetero" will be held in Chaparral, Tolima from 14 to 16 August 2026. The event will feature a Grand International Coffee Auction on 15 August, more than 45 buyers from ten countries—including the Czech Republic, United Kingdom, Australia, United States, Saudi Arabia and France—and over 120 exhibitors. Governor Adriana Magali Matiz and mayor Helver González said the fair will showcase the quality of Tolima coffee and the region’s tourism potential. Cooperatives had a deadline of 18 July to register coffee lots for the auction.

At the same time, the third Encuentro Ciudadanos del Río, part of La Magdalena Fest, will take place in Honda, Tolima on 15 and 16 August 2026. The festival will offer more than 40 free activities across venues such as the Plaza de Mercado, Cámara de Comercio, Casa de la Cultura and the cathedral atrium. Musical performances will include Fruko y sus Tesos, Los Cumbia Stars, Enkelé, Afro Fresh, Kiara de la Ossa and De Mar y Río, alongside workshops, art exhibitions and a creative‑entrepreneurship fair.
