Tolki healthtech reports R$ 8 million in savings for clinics

The Brazilian healthtech company Tolki has reported significant financial results after using artificial intelligence agents on WhatsApp to automate patient engagement. Over a 12-month period, the company claims to have generated more than R$ 8 million in savings for its clients by optimizing message classifications.

According to Tolki, the savings stem from navigating Meta's WhatsApp Business API pricing structure, where marketing messages can cost nearly ten times more than utility messages. By utilizing AI to manage interactions, the company helped medical and dental clinics re-engage patient bases, resulting in the acquisition of over 52,000 patients and contributing to more than R$ 100 million in revenue for the assisted institutions.
