Tolmezzo celebrates 30th anniversary of Apple Festival

The 30th edition of the Festa della Mela (Apple Festival) is currently being held in Tolmezzo, running until September 20. Organized by the Nuova Pro Loco Tolmezzo, the event celebrates the Carnia region and its local agricultural, commercial, and artisanal productions.

This year's anniversary edition includes a special tribute to those who worked to combat recent wildfires in the territory. Regional Councilor for Agri-food, Forestry, and Fisheries Resources, Stefano Zannier, attended the event, noting that the festival has evolved from a single-product celebration into a broader expression of the region's vitality and community.

In addition to highlighting indigenous apple varieties, the festival features various local products. A new addition for the 2026 edition is the involvement of Agrifood Fvg, which is presenting stands dedicated to “Io sono FVG” branded products. Previous iterations of the event have seen significant participation, with over 170 exhibitors and nearly 10,000 attendees over a two-day period.
