Tolmezzo hosts 13th edition of Il Filo dei Sapori festival

The town of Tolmezzo is hosting the 13th edition of ‘Il Filo dei Sapori’, an event organized by the Carnia Mountain Community. The three-day festival focuses on local agricultural excellence, mountain farming, biodiversity, and regional culture.

This year’s theme centers on medicinal plants and wild herbs, featuring workshops, exhibitions, and discussions regarding traditional knowledge and modern applications in food and wellness. The event included a documentary screening of ‘Bread, an everyday miracle’ and a unique musical performance by the Plants Play Orchestra, which uses instruments to translate the electrical impulses of plants into sound.

Scheduled activities include meetings and show-cooking sessions involving technical experts, agricultural businesses, and scholars to discuss topics such as agro-food production, climate change, and generational shifts in the primary sector.
