Tolosa and Toledo highlight Spanish culinary and historical traditions
The Spanish towns of Tolosa and Toledo are highlighting their historical and culinary heritage through local traditions and upcoming events.
In Tolosa, Gipuzkoa, the historic market has been a central feature since 1256. Held every Saturday, the market occupies key locations including the Tinglado, Plaza Berdura, and Plaza Euskal Herria. Visitors to the town can explore its compact historic center, centennial churches, and traditional architecture while experiencing the local market atmosphere.
In Toledo, the province is preparing for the inaugural Sabor Toledo gastronomic tourism fair. Scheduled from September 24 to 27 at the Parque de la Vega, the event will feature over 60 local producers and artisans from regions such as La Mancha, Tierras de Talavera, and La Sagra. The fair will showcase local products including wines, cheeses, oils, and traditional sweets like marzipan through showcookings, tastings, and workshops.
