Tolu Arokodare makes impactful Ajax debut with assist

Nigerian striker Tolu Arokodare has made an impactful debut for Ajax, providing an assist during the club’s 2-0 victory against PEC Zwolle. Currently on loan from Wolverhampton Wanderers, the 25-year-old was introduced as a substitute in the 73rd minute of the match.

Arokodare expressed satisfaction with his performance and his role in the team, noting that while he prefers to start, he respects tactical and physical decisions made by the coaching staff. He stated, “If this is my role for the whole season, I am going to do my best to fulfill it.”

The striker revealed that conversations with Ajax technical director Jordi Cruijff were instrumental in his decision to join the club. Arokodare expressed his ambition to help Ajax return to championship form and win all competitions.
