Toluca mayor orders shutdown of illegal party with 50+ minors

Toluca municipal authorities suspended an illegal gathering in the Santa Cruz Atzcapotzaltongo district after a citizen report led them to discover more than 50 minors inside the premises. Mayor Ricardo Moreno ordered an inter‑institutional operation involving the municipal government, security and protection, civil protection, the DIF, the municipal human‑rights defender and the child‑protection prosecutor’s office.

Officials found evidence of drug use, including crystal and marijuana, and seized condoms and lubricants. Emergency personnel provided pre‑hospital care to two adolescents who were found unconscious from severe intoxication. The operation was presented as part of the city's effort to protect children and uphold public order.
