Toluca dance competition awards prizes to senior citizens

The dance competition “Toluca se Pone en Ritmo” concluded with a grand final at the Teatro Morelos in Toluca, Mexico. The event, aimed at promoting integral health and combating social isolation among senior citizens, saw various couples compete for cash prizes.

Winners Yolanda and Roberto took first place, receiving 75,000 pesos. The second-place pair, Elia and José Luis, earned 50,000 pesos, while María and Rafael secured third place with 25,000 pesos. Rocío Pegueros, President of DIF Toluca, and Mayor Ricardo Moreno highlighted the initiative's role in strengthening the social fabric and encouraging community engagement through public spaces.
