Toluca faces traffic chaos due to Governor Delfina Gómez report

Major road closures in central Toluca have caused significant traffic congestion due to security operations surrounding the government report of State of Mexico Governor Delfina Gómez Álvarez.

Authorities implemented a total closure of Avenida Lerdo de Tejada between Benito Juárez and Nicolás Bravo streets to secure the area near the Government Palace and Teatro Morelos. The deployment of metal barriers and security personnel has disrupted commutes for thousands of motorists and public transport users.

Alternative routes such as Paseo Tollocan, Avenida Las Torres, and Paseo Matlazincas have experienced extreme saturation as drivers attempt to bypass the city center. Local transit authorities are working to manage the flow, but heavy traffic remains in high-traffic areas including Avenida Hidalgo, Morelos, and Juárez.
