Toluca Mayor Ricardo Moreno Opens Registration for Second EMET Entrepreneurship Cohort

Mayor Ricardo Moreno of Toluca, Mexico, announced that the second generation of the Municipal School of Entrepreneurship (EMET) is now accepting applications. The program, the first of its kind at the municipal level in the country, offers participants training, financing advice and assistance with formalizing their businesses.

Registration closes on 23 August 2026, with a selection period on 24‑25 August, a candidate list released on 26 August, and classes beginning on 7 September. EMET operates in partnership with the Universidad Autónoma del Estado de México and aims to create successful economic units, generate jobs and stimulate regional growth.
