Toluca to host multiple athletic races in August

Toluca is hosting two upcoming athletic events aimed at promoting physical activity and community engagement.

The fourth Cruz Azul Toluca Athletic Race is scheduled for August 23, 2026. The event features 5 km and 10 km races, along with a 2 km recreational walk for families. Starting and ending at the Toluca Municipal Palace, the competition offers various prizes, including electric scooters, Garmin watches, and electronics for winners and participants.

Additionally, the 10th Préndete Athletic Race will take place on August 16, 2026, to commemorate National Firefighters Day. Organized by the Toluca City Council to benefit the Heroico Cuerpo de Bomberos de Toluca, the event includes distances of 200m, 400m, 800m, 5km, and 10km. The race will begin at the Central Fire Station in the Vértice neighborhood.
