Tom Blomqvist claims IMSA GTP pole position

Tom Blomqvist secured the pole position for the TireRack Battle on the Bricks in a weather-impacted qualifying session. Driving the No. 60 Meyer Shank Racing Acura ARX-06, Blomqvist recorded a time of 1:14.674, narrowly beating the No. 31 Action Express Racing Cadillac of GTP points leader Jack Aitken by 0.301 seconds. This marks Blomqvist’s first IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship pole since the previous year's Motul Petit Le Mans.

In the GTP field, Dries Vanthoor will start third in the No. 24 Team WRT BMW M Hybrid V8. The qualifying session was notable for the abandonment of the GTD Pro and GTD class sessions due to weather conditions.

In the LMP2 category, Jeremy Clarke claimed pole position for Inter Europol Competition, setting a lap time of 1:17.555 in the No. 43 Oreca 07 Gibson. Clarke finished ahead of Daniel Goldburg of United Autosports, marking Clarke's fourth LMP2 pole of the season.
