Tom Brennan loses Polish league racing permit due to regulation breach
Speedway Ekstraliga has revoked British rider Tom Brennan’s permission to compete in the Polish league following a violation of club affiliation regulations. The decision stems from Brennan participating in a Danish league match on July 29, which exceeded the permitted limit of two foreign leagues, as he was already competing in England and Sweden.
As a consequence, the results of Brennan’s recent match with H. Skrzydlewska Orzeł have been adjusted. His six points were deducted, changing the match outcome from a 50:40 victory for the visitors to a 44:40 win for the home team.
Jerzy Kanclerz, president of Abramczyk Polonia Bydgoszcz, stated that the club had previously warned the rider against competing in Denmark. Kanclerz noted that Brennan had signed a short-term four-day contract in Denmark, seemingly believing it would not impact his status, but the move ultimately led to the regulatory sanction.
