Tom Cruise attends Scientology annual gathering in Sussex

Actor Tom Cruise has arrived in Sussex, England, to attend the annual International Association of Scientologists gathering at Saint Hill Manor in East Grinstead. The three-day event, which draws thousands of followers from around the world, is expected to face protests from former members of the organization.

Demonstrators have gathered to protest against the movement, citing allegations of mistreatment, unpaid labor, and forced work. During a march through East Grinstead on Thursday, protesters carried signs such as “It’s time to end abuse in Scientology” and “Your doubts are valid.”

Scientology denies all accusations of abuse and exploitation. Last year, the organization reportedly used loud bagpipe music to drown out activists during similar demonstrations.
