Tom Cruise promotes ‘Digger’ in Japan with YOASOBI and young actors
During a promotional tour in Japan for his new film ‘Digger’, directed by Alejandro G. Iñárritu, Tom Cruise engaged in several high-profile activities.
Cruise participated in a special dialogue with the Japanese music unit YOASOBI. In the discussion, released on YOASOBI’s official YouTube channel, Cruise expressed admiration for the group’s method of turning novels into music, noting its similarity to film scoring. The members of YOASOBI, Ayase and ikura, discussed their creative processes, while Cruise shared insights into his approach to character development and the importance of maintaining passion for craftsmanship.
Additionally, Cruise held a surprise ‘teach-in’ session for approximately 70 aspiring young Japanese actors from small agencies. The event, which was unannounced to the participants, allowed the actor to interact directly with the next generation of talent, answering questions and offering encouragement to those pursuing careers in acting.
