Tom Evans to release new collection of archived Badfinger demos

Y&T Music has announced the upcoming release of ‘I Believe In You’, a new collection of previously unheard demo recordings by Tom Evans. Evans was the bassist and co-lead singer of the power pop group Badfinger and a prolific songwriter, notably co-writing the hit ballad ‘Without You’.

The collection, scheduled for release on October 30, 2026, will be available as a limited-edition CD and on all streaming platforms. It features 20 tracks showcasing Evans’ development as a songwriter and lyricist between 1970 and 1977. Six of the tracks included in the release were later recorded by Badfinger, including ‘Money’ and ‘Blind Owl’.

The project follows a two-year search for these recordings. The album was compiled and edited by Tom Brennan, with restoration and mastering by Kevin McElligott. The release will include a 12-page booklet featuring personal photos provided by Marianne Evans.
