Miami Dolphins restructure leadership as Stephen Ross appoints Daniel Sillman CEO

Owner Stephen Ross announced a major leadership change for the Miami Dolphins. Long‑time president and CEO Tom Garfinkel stepped down after 13 years, remaining as vice chairman of the Dolphins and Hard Rock Stadium and as a managing partner of the Miami Grand Prix. Ross named his son‑in‑law, Daniel Sillman, as chief executive officer of the newly formed Ross Sports & Entertainment and gave him oversight of football operations. Head coach Jeff Hafley, general manager Jon‑Eric Sullivan and executive vice president of football operations Brandon Shore will now report directly to Sillman. Sillman, co‑founder and executive chairman of Relevent Sports, has negotiated major media‑rights deals for LaLiga, ESPN and UEFA. Ross praised Garfinkel’s tenure, calling it “one of the most impactful executive tenures in professional sports history,” and expressed confidence in Sillman’s ability to lead the organization into its next phase.
