Tom Gentzsch defeats Alan Ważny at ATP Challenger Szczecin

At the ATP Challenger Szczecin, third seed Tom Gentzsch defeated 19-year-old Polish player Alan Ważny in a three-set match. Gentzsch won the first set 7-5, followed by Ważny taking the second set in a tie-break (7-3). However, Gentzsch dominated the final set 6-0 to secure his advancement to the second round.

Ważny noted that while his performance in the first two sets was strong, he struggled to maintain concentration and energy in the deciding set.

In other tournament news, Filip Pieczonka successfully navigated the qualifying rounds to enter the main draw after defeating Nikita Masztakow 6-3, 6-2. Meanwhile, Kacper Knitter was eliminated from the competition following a loss to Martin Krumich.
