Tom Hardy releases rap album under alias Frankie Pulitzer

Actor Tom Hardy has released a rap album under the alias Frankie Pulitzer. The project, titled ‘Czarface Meets Frankie Pulitzer’, was released on Friday in collaboration with the underground hip-hop group Czarface, specifically the duo 7L & Esoteric, and Wu-Tang Clan’s Inspectah Deck.

The album features guest appearances from artists including Busta Rhymes and Method Man. The lyrics include various pop-culture and cinematic references, such as nods to Marvel characters like Green Goblin and Doctor Doom. On the track ‘Grim-Visaged War’, Hardy performs a monologue from Shakespeare’s ‘Richard III’ using a vocal cadence reminiscent of his character Bane from the 2012 film ‘The Dark Knight Rises’.

Hardy, 48, has previously indicated a long-standing interest in rap, noting that he began practicing the craft in his early teens.
