Tom Holland and Christopher Nolan coordinate production schedules for 'Odysseia' and Spider‑Man

Tom Holland revealed that a "very uncomfortable conversation" with Sony executives was needed to resolve a clash between the filming of Christopher Nolan’s upcoming epic 'Odysseia' and Sony’s own Spider‑Man: Brand New Day. After speaking with Sony chairman Tom Rothman, the studio agreed to postpone the Spider‑Man shoot, allowing Holland to join Nolan’s project. 'Odysseia' is slated to open on 17 July, with Spider‑Man: Brand New Day following on 31 July.

Nolan’s production faced logistical hurdles on the island of Favignana, Italy, where the crew built a new road and used helicopters to transport equipment to the remote Castle of Santa Caterina. Actors such as Robert Pattinson and Holland themselves navigated steep climbs in costume. The challenges were eventually overcome, and Nolan praised the location’s “magic in reality.”
