Tom Holland and Sabrina Carpenter to star in Fred Astaire biopic

Tom Holland and Sabrina Carpenter are set to star in a new Hollywood biopic centered on the life of legendary dancer Fred Astaire. Holland will portray Astaire, while Carpenter will play his iconic dance partner, Ginger Rogers.

Margaret Qualley has been cast as Adele Astaire, Fred’s older sister and original stage partner. The film is being produced by Sony Pictures and will be directed by Paul King, known for his work on the ‘Paddington’ and ‘Wonka’ films.

Holland has reportedly begun dance rehearsals and intends to perform all his own dance sequences without a stunt double. The project aims to capture the golden era of the Hollywood musical, celebrating the legacy of the performers who defined the genre in the 1930s.
