Spider-Man: Brand New Day sees Holland, Zendaya and villain teasers
Marvel’s next solo Spider‑Man film, Spider‑Man: Brand New Day, will open in theaters at the end of July 2026 (July 29 in Germany, July 31 in the US). The movie stars Tom Holland as Peter Parker and Zendaya as MJ, and adds a slate of new characters including Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner/Hulk, Jon Bernthal as Frank Castle/The Punisher and Stranger Things star Sadie Sink in a still‑secret role that many fans link to Jean Grey.
A global press tour has taken Holland and Zendaya to European cities such as Berlin, Madrid and Amsterdam, where they have drawn large crowds and highlighted fashion‑focused looks that echo Spider‑Man’s red, white and black colour palette. In Berlin the pair greeted roughly 5,000 fans, signed autographs and posed for photo‑calls.
New trailers and TV spots have revealed further plot details. The latest synopsis shows Peter living in a world that no longer remembers him, dealing with an “invisible” villain and a physical transformation that threatens to become a weapon. Footage also introduces the lesser‑known villain Ramrod and hints at a “web tornado” power. The film is slated to run about two‑and‑a‑half hours, making it the longest entry in the series.
Tom Holland, speaking on a talk show, said, “The future of Spider‑Man is really bright,” while also noting the studio is keeping many story elements under wraps.
Fans have sparked extensive speculation online about the mysterious villain, Sadie Sink’s character, and whether the movie will tie into upcoming MCU events such as Avengers: Doomsday or Secret Wars.
