Tom Jones removed from The Voice UK coaching lineup

Legendary Welsh singer Tom Jones has been removed from his role as a coach on The Voice UK. The 86-year-old singer expressed shock and disappointment regarding the decision, stating he was not given prior warning or a conversation before being informed of his departure.

Jones indicated that ITV made the decision some time ago, citing insurance-related financial difficulties as a reason, though the network has suggested the move is part of a plan to refresh the show with a new coaching lineup. While the broadcaster has offered Jones a reduced role involving guest appearances, the singer stated he is not enthusiastic about the proposal.

An ITV representative noted that while Jones will not be a full-time coach for the 15th season, the network is continuing discussions with him and his team regarding his potential involvement in future seasons.
