Tom Lee predicts Ethereum will outperform Bitcoin

Tom Lee, co-founder of Fundstrat and Chairman of Bitmine Immersion Technologies (BMNR), predicts that Ethereum will outperform Bitcoin in the coming years. Lee notes that the ETH/BTC ratio has broken above a multiyear downtrend, which he interprets as a signal of increasing Ethereum adoption.

Several catalysts are driving this thesis, including the rise of tokenization, agentic AI applications, and Ethereum's role as a settlement layer for stablecoins. Additionally, the ability to generate yield through staking is expected to strengthen demand for ETH as a productive asset. Lee also anticipates that easing financial conditions will serve as a tailwind for the broader cryptocurrency market.

Corporate interest is also rising, as evidenced by Bitmine Immersion Technologies, which has been executing a treasury strategy involving Ethereum accumulation. The company added nearly 10,000 ETH over a recent week, contributing to its significant Ethereum reserves.
