Tom Morello announces first solo rock album

Musician Tom Morello is preparing to release his first solo rock album, titled ‘Everyone Gets Everything They Want’. While Morello has participated in various collaborative projects throughout his career, including Rage Against the Machine and Audioslave, this project marks his 22nd record and his first dedicated solo rock effort.

One of the featured tracks, ‘Date Night’, is inspired by the historical actions of three Dutch teenage girls who served in the partisan resistance during the Nazi occupation in World War II. The song honors their efforts to sabotage Nazi forces and assist Jewish children, specifically highlighting Hannie Schaft, who was captured and executed by the Nazis. Morello described the song as an homage to those who resist fascist authority.
