Tom Morello Announces First Solo Rock Album “Everyone Gets Everything They Want”
Guitarist and activist Tom Morello revealed his first solo rock album, *Everyone Gets Everything They Want*, scheduled for release on September 25 2026 via Mom + Pop Music. The record is described as his debut solo rock effort, featuring heavy riffs, stormy solos and politically charged lyrics.
The lead single, “Date Night,” tells the true story of three Dutch teenage resistance fighters—sisters Truus and Freddie Oversteegen and their friend Hannie Schaft—who infiltrated Nazi checkpoints, smuggled weapons, sabotaged rail lines and assassinated German officers during World War II. Morello said the song is “a ‘which side are you on?’ anti‑Nazi track,” and noted that his 15‑year‑old son Roman Morello wrote the killer riff.
Guest appearances include Serj Tankian, Kneecap and Beartooth, while production is handled by Tyler Smyth, Carl Restivo, Zakk Cervini, Dan Carey and Sam Nelson Harris. Morello also announced the Power to the People Festival for October 3 in Columbia, Maryland, featuring a lineup of major rock and activist acts.
