Tom Pelissero joins Netflix and The Ringer after ESPN layoff

NFL insider Tom Pelissero has signed a multiyear deal with Netflix and Spotify’s The Ringer following his recent departure from ESPN. Pelissero, who was laid off by ESPN after its acquisition of NFL Network, will serve as a sideline reporter and NFL insider for Netflix’s upcoming football broadcasts.

His debut with Netflix is scheduled for September 10, 2026, during a Week 1 matchup between the Los Angeles Rams and the San Francisco 49ers in Melbourne, Australia. His coverage will also include Thanksgiving Eve games, a Christmas Gameday doubleheader, and a Week 18 regular-season matchup.

In addition to his broadcasting duties, Pelissero will join The Ringer as a co-host of ‘The Ringer NFL Show,’ a contributor to their NFL podcasts, and a weekly guest on ‘The Bill Simmons Podcast.’ He will also write about the league for the platform.
