Tomáš Portlík pledges to accelerate Prague housing and infrastructure
Tomáš Portlík, leader of Spolu pro Prahu and mayoral candidate, has pledged to accelerate construction in Prague to address the housing crisis. Drawing on his experience as the mayor of Prague 9, which accounts for approximately 25 percent of the city's total construction, Portlík argues that reducing regulations and shortening permit processes are essential to prevent rising housing costs.
Regarding infrastructure, Portlík stated that Prague possesses the necessary funds to complete major projects. He noted that the city has over 200 billion CZK available for critical developments, including the completion of Metro D line, the Radlická radial, and the inner ring road, which could potentially begin construction within two to three years.
