Tomáš Satoranský and Emma Čechová named best Czech basketball players
Tomáš Satoranský has been named the best Czech male basketball player for the fourth time, setting a new record for most wins in the history of the award. The 33-year-old playmaker, who recently moved from Barcelona to Hapoel Tel Aviv, reclaimed the title after a three-year hiatus.
In the women's category, 22-year-old center Emma Čechová won the award for the first time. Her recent achievements include winning the Czech league championship with USK Praha and being selected by the Minnesota Lynx in the WNBA. However, a knee ligament injury sustained early in her WNBA debut has sidelined her for the remainder of her debut season and the upcoming World Championship in Berlin.
Vít Krejčí finished second in the men's category following a productive year in the NBA, while Jan Veselý took third place. In the women's rankings, Veronika Voráčková secured second place.
