Tom Selleck joins Apple TV comedy cast

Tom Selleck has been confirmed as a guest star in an upcoming, untitled Apple TV comedy series. This marks his first major television role since the conclusion of 'Blue Bloods' in late 2024.

The comedy stars Elizabeth Banks as Heidi, a woman navigating life and her children following a difficult divorce. The plot involves Heidi managing the romantic activities of her father, played by Ted Danson, within his retirement community. This role reunites Selleck with Danson, who previously co-starred with him in 'Three Men and a Baby'.

Created by Liz Heldens and Matt Ward, the series features an ensemble cast including Rob Delaney, Katey Sagal, Jared Goldstein, and Spencer Moss, with recurring roles for Hamish Linklater, Michelle Buteau, and Simu Liu. The production is being handled by 20th Television.
