Actor Tom Welling, known for portraying Clark Kent in the series “Smallville”, has expressed openness to returning to the role within the expanding DC Universe (DCU). Welling noted that while he maintains an open mind regarding future projects, any potential involvement would require approval from Warner Bros.

Welling also shared details regarding a pitch for a potential “Smallville” animated series, mentioning that early renderings and a poster have already been developed. Regarding the upcoming “Superman” film starring David Corenswet, Welling stated he has not yet seen it, as he intends to wait until his sons are old enough to watch it with him.

Additionally, the Warner Bros. Archives released a video examining the visual evolution of Clark Kent’s wardrobe throughout the show’s run. The retrospective traces the character's transition from a Kansas farm boy in plaid shirts to the eventual adoption of heroic elements, such as the iconic Superman shield and a silhouette reminiscent of a superhero cape.
