Tomakomai to host summer festival series in August 2026

Tomakomai will host a series of summer events titled ‘Machi Fes -Summer- 2026’ from August 18 to August 30, 2026. The festivities are centered around the area near Tomakomai Station.

Key highlights include the 17th Tomakomai Hyakuen Shopping District event on August 29, where participating stores will offer goods and services for 100 yen. This coincides with the 34th Machiichi, featuring local produce and musical performances by student groups and a factory brass band.

On August 30, the 10th anniversary of ‘HOKOTEN 2026’ will take place at the Tomakomai Station South Exit Plaza, featuring dance shows, traditional games, and various food stalls.
