Tomar hosts fifth edition of ART’INRUA street arts festival

The fifth edition of ART’INRUA, an International Street Arts Festival, is taking place in Tomar from September 11 to 13. Organized by the Municipality of Tomar and Tenda Produções, the event transforms the city's streets and historical monuments into an open-air stage.

The official opening ceremony is scheduled for Friday, September 11, at 18:00 at the Convento de Cristo. The three-day program features a diverse range of performances, including dance, theater, music, contemporary circus, and living statues. Local, national, and international artists will utilize the city's urban settings and architectural heritage as backdrops for their work.

The festival aims to encourage the public to rediscover the city through art by bringing cultural programming out of conventional spaces and into the community. All programming is free and accessible to the public.
