Tomas Kronståhl enters Vimmerby municipal election race

Tomas Kronståhl, a veteran Social Democrat politician and former member of the Swedish Parliament, is running for office in Vimmerby Municipality. He is positioned second on the Social Democrats' list for the municipal election.

Kronståhl, who previously served as the opposition leader in Västervik and as chairman of the municipal executive board, noted that his decision to leave Parliament was influenced by his recovery from pancreatic cancer. He also addressed a past controversy involving an address registration issue investigated by SVT, stating he was cleared of all wrongdoing and that the matter is resolved.

As a former small business owner, Kronståhl maintains an ideological stance that healthcare, education, and social services should be tax-funded and equal for all citizens, regardless of wealth.
