Tomáš Souček in advanced contract talks with West Ham United
West Ham United midfielder Tomáš Souček is in advanced discussions with the club regarding a new contract. The 31-year-old Czech Republic international, whose current deal expires next summer, is expected to be offered improved terms, with an agreement potentially reached by early November.
This development marks a shift from June, when Souček expressed interest in leaving the club for a fresh start, possibly in Italy. Sources indicate the midfielder now intends to retire at West Ham.
Souček is also returning to fitness following a four-month absence due to an ankle ligament injury sustained during the World Cup. Manager Nuno Espírito Santo noted that the midfielder has been training well and recently scored a penalty in a behind-closed-doors match against Wycombe Wanderers.
