Tomasz Adam Nowak performs improvisation concert in Lügde
Professor Tomasz Adam Nowak performed an improvisation concert at the St. Marien Church in Lügde to mark the start of the Lügde Organ Autumn. Using the historic Stockmann/Speith organ, Nowak performed variations in the Baroque style based on musical requests provided by the audience shortly before the concert began.
Requests included pieces from popular music, classical works, folk songs, and opera, such as the Brindisi from Verdi’s ‘La Traviata’. Nowak also performed two distinct improvisations of the folk song ‘Der Mond ist aufgegangen’. Nowak is an internationally recognized organist and professor at the Hochschule für Musik Detmold.
