Tomasz Fornal expresses interest in MMA career after volleyball

Polish volleyball star Tomasz Fornal has expressed interest in pursuing Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) after his professional volleyball career ends. In a recent interview, the 29-year-old MVP of the Volleyball Nations League stated that he does not see himself in administrative or coaching roles within the volleyball community, noting a lack of patience for such positions.

Fornal cited the intense emotions experienced by fighters like Jan Błachowicz as a primary motivation, expressing a desire to experience the feeling of competing for a UFC championship belt. He distinguished his interest from celebrity fighting spectacles, focusing instead on professional combat sports. He noted that fellow volleyball player Zbigniew Bartman has previously transitioned into the MMA arena.
