Tomasz Siemoniak meets CIA Director John Ratcliffe regarding Polish security

Tomasz Siemoniak, Poland's coordinator for special services, met with CIA Director John Ratcliffe at the agency's headquarters near Washington. Siemoniak reported that the meeting was “very important” and that he has briefed Prime Minister Donald Tusk on the most critical security information resulting from the discussions.

The meeting occurred amid heightened concerns regarding Russian threats to NATO and potential hybrid warfare or sabotage against Poland and the Baltic states. Siemoniak also indicated that he provided information to U.S. officials regarding Russian-commissioned sabotage activities within Polish and European territories.

This high-level intelligence cooperation follows recent diplomatic activity involving the United States. CIA Director Ratcliffe traveled to Moscow in late August to meet with the heads of Russia's SVR and FSB. Additionally, U.S. presidential envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner recently conducted meetings with Vladimir Putin in Moscow and Volodymyr Zelenskyy in Kyiv as part of efforts to address the Russia-Ukraine conflict.
