Tomb Raider film sequel set for March 2021 release

Tomb Raider Lara Croft film sequel video game adaptation Legacy of Atlantis

A sequel to the film ‘Tomb Raider: Origin’ has been assigned a release date of March 19, 2021. Alicia Vikander will return to the role of Lara Croft, with Ben Wheatley set to direct the upcoming production.

Produced by GK Films with a screenplay by Amy Jump and Elizabeth Cantillon, the film will be distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures and MGM. Filming is scheduled to begin early next year. The previous 2018 adaptation, directed by Roar Uthaug, earned over $274 million at the global box office.
