Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis remake announced for 2027

Crystal Dynamics and Flying Wild Hog are developing **Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis**, a modern reimagining of the series' 1996 debut, Scion. The game will retain the original’s core settings—Peru, Greece, Egypt, and the lost island of Atlantis—but updates visuals, controls, puzzles and story elements for contemporary audiences. Amazon Game Studios will publish the title, which is slated for release on **12 February 2027** on PC and consoles.

Developers describe the remake as an ideal entry point for new players, saying it “provides the foundation of where Tomb Raider is going” and requires “no homework needed.” Long‑time fans can expect expanded levels, new Easter eggs and a deeper integration of Lara Croft’s early adventures. The project runs alongside the upcoming sequel **Tomb Raider: Catalyst**, which will explore a new storyline set in northern India.
