Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis updates reveal Denuvo removal and new cast details

Developers Crystal Dynamics and Amazon Game Studios are providing new details regarding the upcoming title ‘Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis’, a reimagining of the 1996 original built on Unreal Engine 5.

Recent updates to the game’s Steam page indicate the removal of the Denuvo anti-piracy software. While neither publisher has issued an official statement, the change has been noted by the community following previous concerns regarding potential performance impacts.

In a new behind-the-scenes documentary, the developers introduced actor Bradley Snedeker, who portrays Larson Conway, a mercenary and rival to Lara Croft. Design Director Jason Epps noted that Snedeker’s performance provides an emotional depth to the character, aiming to make him a more significant figure in the narrative.

The game is scheduled for release on February 12, 2027, for PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch 2.
