Tomelloso honors five community leaders at gala

The municipality of Tomelloso held a gala at the Marcelo Grande Theater to honor five distinguished ‘viñadores’ for their contributions to the community. The ceremony, presided over by Mayor Javier Navarro, recognized individuals and organizations across economic, cultural, and social sectors.

Award recipients included Mercería Tere Pelayo for economic impact, the Asociación de Amigos de las Cuevas for cultural contributions, and La Valiosa for social action. Emilio Poveda e hijos received recognition for their work in agriculture, while Mariely Blanco was honored as the ‘viñadora de honor’. The event was attended by local government officials, including representatives from the PP and Vox parties, as well as various members of the local social and economic fabric.
