Guadalajara hosts inaugural Producers Market

The first edition of the Producers Market at the Mercado de Abastos in Guadalajara concluded with over 3,000 visitors. Organized by the Guadalajara City Council and the Provincial Association of Farmers and Livestock Breeders (APAG), the event featured 30 local exhibitors.

Commercial results were positive, with producers selling more than 90% of their stock, in some cases exhausting their entire inventory. The event included a variety of activities, such as commented tastings, workshops, and children's programming, which saw high participation rates.

A solidarity initiative involving a popular stew sale raised funds for those affected by the La Mierla fire, with over 1,000 tickets sold. Local officials expressed interest in making the market a regular occurrence to strengthen the connection between the province's primary sector and local residents.
