Tomelloso inaugurates CALMA cultural center

The Casa de las Artes y las Letras de la Mancha (CALMA) has officially opened in Tomelloso, Spain. The new cultural center is designed to serve as a living space for the city's artistic and literary heritage, integrating painting, literature, photography, and performing arts.

During the inauguration, Mayor Javier Navarro described the project as a transformative space rather than a static museum, aiming to foster dialogue between established creators and young artists. The opening coincides with the 75th anniversary of the Fiesta de las Letras.

The facility will preserve the legacies of various regional figures, including Francisco García Pavón and Eladio Cabañero, as well as historical benefactors. The center's contents and collections will be introduced progressively over the coming months, beginning with an exhibition by artist Fermín García Sevilla.
