Tomelloso school implements ‘Uvas y Letras’ heritage project

The CEIP San Isidro school in Tomelloso is continuing its ‘Uvas y Letras’ (Grapes and Letters) project, an initiative designed to connect students with the local cultural, historical, and economic heritage of their community.

The program integrates the school’s reading plan with local traditions, specifically linking literature to the town’s viticultural history. Students participate in various activities including guided routes and visits to local landmarks such as the Museo del Carro, the Museo Antonio López Torres, and the local caves.

This year, the project included artist Rafael Rodrigo, known as ‘MeOne,’ who participated in an encounter with students regarding the town’s traditional chimneys. The initiative aims to help students understand the importance of their environment to the identity of Tomelloso.
