Tomelloso theater companies win seven awards in Almagro

Two theater companies from Tomelloso, Carpe Diem Teatro and Citra Teatro, achieved significant success at the V Luis Molina National Amateur Classical Theater Festival held at the historic Corral de Comedias in Almagro.

Carpe Diem Teatro won first prize for its production ‘Pasión por Carmen’. The company also received the Special Audience Award, the award for Best Direction (Miguel Ángel Berlanga Chaves), and the award for Best Lead Actress (Loli Blanco).

Citra Teatro, participating for the first time with the production ‘La moza de cántaro’, secured second prize. The group also earned awards for Best Costume and Best Supporting Actress (Alba Crespo).
