Tomigusuku City Council accepts Vice Chairperson's resignation

The Tomigusuku City Council has unanimously approved the resignation of Vice Chairperson Masaki Ota from his position. The decision follows Ota making discriminatory remarks during a general inquiry, specifically asking another city council member, “Are you suffering from dementia?”

While Ota is stepping down from his role as Vice Chairperson, he is expected to remain a member of the city council.
