Tominé Reservoir boat collision leaves one woman missing

Search operations are underway in the Tominé Reservoir, Guatavita, following a collision between two boats near the Club La Marina. The accident, which occurred on August 17, reportedly involved the entanglement of ropes between the vessels.

One of the boats sank, resulting in the disappearance of 59-year-old Sandy Astrid Serene Ruiz. While four other occupants—including three adults and a minor—were rescued from the water, they required medical attention for hypothermia. The survivors were taken to the San Antonio de Guatavita Hospital for evaluation.

Emergency response teams, including the Cundinamarca Fire Department, National Police, Civil Defense, and specialized divers from Sopó, have been conducting surface and underwater searches. However, rescue efforts have faced challenges due to low temperatures and adverse weather conditions.
