Tomiño honors midwife Ana Isabel Forneiro for 40 years of service

The municipality of Tomiño held a large-scale tribute at Praza do Seixo to honor Ana Isabel Forneiro González, a midwife at the local Health Center for 40 years. The event, held during the Festas do Alivio, coincided with the 20th edition of the town's civic recognition ceremony.

Hundreds of residents, including family, colleagues, and women from multiple generations, attended the ceremony. The Mayor of Tomiño, Sandra González, praised Forneiro for building relationships of trust and helping women live with greater security and freedom. The tribute highlighted Forneiro's work visiting parishes and homes, providing non-judgmental care and creating spaces of confidence regarding women's health throughout her career.
