Tommaso Cerno has returned to Rai 2 with the second season of his program ‘2 di picche’, airing weekdays at 14:00. The show features updated studio sets and graphics, focusing on a mix of editorial commentary and debate.

A key feature of the new season is the three-minute editorial segment, which will now include guests holding opposing views to the host to facilitate a ‘move and counter-move’ style of debate. The program aims to give voice to citizens and reflect on contemporary societal contradictions.

Paolo Corsini, Rai’s Director of In-depth Programming, noted that the show's renewal was a deliberate editorial choice based on its distinct voice. He cited the first season's performance, which averaged a 5% share and over 600,000 viewers, as meeting the objectives for its time slot. The upcoming season will place a greater emphasis on news reporting and current events to highlight the practical difficulties faced by citizens.
